As a guide the information on the types of work we require then here is the information for 2011. We expect it to be similar next year.
If you are interested in volunteering for Podpads at a festival in summer 2011 then read on:
In 2010 we travelled all over the UK, Ireland and to Holland building podpads and aiming to deliver the best accommodation and customer service in the alternative camping business. In 2011 we will be growing the podpad experience by offering more varied accommodation and visiting even more festivals.
We are looking for keen, hard working, totally committed, personable, sharing and caring people for 2011.
A love of early mornings is essential so if you are the one that doesn't like sunlight as it hurts too much after all that partying then podpads isn't for you.
The work is physical and outdoors in all weathers. It is hard and long during the build-up and take-down but great fun working as a team member, part of probably the Best Festival Crew out there, plus you get to see a lot of Festivals. There is a list of the festivals we expect to attend on the festival page of this website.
Applicants should be 18 or over by June 2011. If you know someone in the previous podpad crew then put their name in the referee box on the form.
WE HAVE TWO ROLES AVAILABLE:
1) Volunteer Build Crew - please highlight preferred Festival.
Do you want to work for one or two festivals in return for a free festival pass? You will be helping set up AND take down the podpads and other accommodation. You will not need to work during the weekend of the festival.
Do you fulfill many of the criteria for the full time crew above?
You need to be available from the Tuesday evening before the festival and the Monday after the festival. You will need to make your own way to the festival site or to the nearest train station.
We regret that we aren’t looking for any volunteers for Glastonbury Festival.
Do you want to work for one or two festivals in return for a free festival pass? You will be working on reception helping check in our guests and deal with all sorts of customer enquiries. You need to have an interest in people, customer service and attention to detail are essentials.
You will work shifts throughout the festival.
You need to arrive the evening before the festival and stay until 10am Monday. You will need to make your own way to the festival or to the nearest train station.
